Yungblud - Yungblud

Yungblud is the self-titled third album by 24-year-old singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Yungblud, born Dominic Harrison. Following the success of 2018's 21st Century Liability and 2020's weird!, choosing to name this third record simply after himself was a deliberate move, a reclamation of his own narrative and the consolidation of an artistic identity that had grown increasingly hard to pin down to a single genre.

Released September 2, 2022, through Geffen Records and produced largely with longtime collaborator Chris Greatti, along with contributions from Paul Meany, Dylan Brady, and others, the album leans into Yungblud's genre-blending instincts, moving between raw emotional balladry and full-throttle rock energy without settling into any one lane for long. Lead single "The Funeral" set an anthemic, confessional tone, while "Memories," featuring Willow, and fan favorite "Don't Feel Like Feeling Sad Today" showcase the vulnerability underneath his more theatrical instincts.

The album debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart, Yungblud's second UK chart-topper, and reached number 45 on the Billboard 200 in the US, continuing his rise as one of the more commercially successful rock-adjacent acts of his generation even as critical reception remained mixed. As a self-titled statement, it functions less as a victory lap and more as a reset, an artist deciding to define himself on his own terms before pushing further into the more ambitious work that would follow on Idols.
