Having sold out tours and headlined festivals around the globe, including his own music festival, Yungblud releases his fourth album, Idols, with number-one albums in seven countries already behind him and a reputation for defying convention fully intact. "Zombie," the Grammy-nominated centerpiece of the record, shares its title with the Cranberries' iconic 1994 protest song but is actually an original Yungblud composition, co-written with producer Matt Schwartz, that draws on watching his grandmother go through serious illness and the fear of becoming a burden to the people you love. It's one of the most emotionally direct songs he's ever released, and its connection to the Cranberries deepened further when Billy Corgan and Yungblud later reworked the track with The Smashing Pumpkins for a companion release. "Hello Heaven, Hello" and "The Greatest Parade" lean into arena-sized rock elsewhere on the album, while closers "War" and "Supermoon" pull back into more reflective, exposed territory.

Idols topped the UK Albums Chart and earned Grammy nominations for both Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song, cementing Yungblud's evolution from provocateur to a genuinely acclaimed rock artist working at the top of his game.
