Various - The Sights & Sounds Of Austin

The Sights & Sounds Of Austin is a promotional compilation LP from 2018 that works as a snapshot of the city's music scene at that moment. Pressed by Hand Drawn Pressing for COLLiDE, it gathers twelve artists across heavy rock, indie, folk and psych on a single record.

Side one opens with Missio's "I Don't Even Care About You" and The Sword's "The Dreamthieves," then moves through Walker Lukens, Shy Beast, Bee Caves, The Cuckoos and Curtis Roush. Side two leans toward songwriters, with Israel Nash's "Rain Plans," Nina Diaz's "For You," Austin Basham, Particle Kid and Willie Harries Graham.

The inside cover carries a short write-up on each artist, and the insert doubles as a visitor's guide with recommended Austin restaurants and bars. This was a promo item rather than a regular retail release. Sealed copy.
