Thymian - Thymian EP

Hailing from Zurich, Switzerland, THYMIAN is the solo project of multi-instrumentalist Josip Tijan. Born from a period of profound personal change, this self-titled debut EP served as a "creative valve" for self-reflection and processing. Drawing inspiration from the "atmospheric shadows" of Drab Majesty and the "electro-pop foundations" of Depeche Mode, Tijan crafted a sound that is both "intimate and simultaneously expansive."

Recorded and produced in a "cozy corner of his bedroom," the EP is a "hallucinatory revelation" that showcases Tijan’s "rich baritone voice"—often compared to Simon Jones of And Also The Trees—paired with "driving basslines and reverb-drenched guitars." Released via the tastemaking Brazilian label Wave Records, this 4-track collection has been hailed by Post-Punk.com as "tasteful, uplifting minimalist post-punk at its very best."
