Following the massive local success of their Superclean EPs, Los Angeles favorites The Marías made an auspicious full-length debut with Cinema. Described by the Los Angeles Times as "the perfect indie band for L.A. kids," the group—led by the magnetic María Zardoya and drummer Josh Conway—crafted an album that feels like a high-contrast transition between reality and a dream. The title itself is a tribute to the band's origins, as María and Josh first began collaborating while writing music for film and television.
