The first repressing of a cult classic since its original release on Enigma Records in 1987, and it was absolutely worth the wait. Philadelphia's Dead Milkmen were one of the most gleefully deranged bands of the American punk underground, and Bucky Fellini, their third album, is widely considered their most fully realized and adventurous work. Recorded at The Firestation in San Marcos, Texas in December 1986, the album expands on the band's jangly punk foundation with touches of country, surf music, violin, lap steel, and dobro, producing what the Toronto Star called a "sarcastic masterpiece that takes the mickey out of a dozen cherished American icons."

Highlights include the brilliantly sharp "Instant Club Hit (You'll Dance to Anything)," a pitch-perfect skewering of 1980s new wave dance culture, the irreverent "Going to Graceland," the maniacal "Nitro Burning Funny Cars," and a cover of Daniel Johnston's "Rocketship" that fits the album's wonderfully unhinged spirit perfectly.

This Record Store Day 2024 pressing has been remastered by Phil Nicolo for contemporary vinyl and is housed in a beautifully produced gatefold tip-on jacket featuring the original front and back covers, with the interior collaged by drummer Dean Clean with news clippings, previously unseen photographs, show posters, and a QR code for WAV and MP3 downloads. Also included for the first time is an inner sleeve with lyrics and all new song-inspired art from guitarist Joe Jack Talcum, a reproduction of an original Bucky Fellini poster, and a download link for the elusive "Boner Beat" remixes.

Limited to 5,000 copies on Ducky Yellow vinyl. Essential for fans and newcomers alike.
