Released in 2011, Revelator is the song-oriented debut album from the husband-wife team of Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks. Serving as the formal introduction to the Tedeschi Trucks Band, the record won the 2012 Grammy for Best Blues Album and established a cohesive vision where Delta blues, Memphis soul, and Sixties rock flow together. The album balances "smoky, blues-dipped rockers" with "heart-stilling ballads," showcasing Tedeschi's vocal range alongside Trucks's signature slide-guitar work.
This 2025/2026 Anniversary Reissue is a Limited Edition of 1,500 numbered copies pressed on 180g Red Vinyl. Produced by Jim Scott and Derek Trucks at their own Swamp Raga Studios, the album features the early lineup including brothers Oteil and Kofi Burbridge. The double-LP set is housed in a gatefold cover and is mastered for audiophile quality to capture the organic, "live-in-the-room" feel of the 11-piece ensemble.
