Bloom Ascension is Steve Roach's first release conceptualized specifically for the LP format since Desert Solitaire in 1989, and the timing and intention behind it could not feel more deliberate or more right. Four decades and nearly 200 releases into a career spent pushing the boundaries of ambient and electronic music from his Timeroom studio in Tucson, Arizona, Roach has created something that feels genuinely new and genuinely alive.

The album is a four-part suite of spiraling analog synth and sequencer-driven music, built on the large format and eurorack analog modular synthesizer systems that have become the central tools of Roach's ongoing evolution. A natural expansion on the Grammy-nominated Spiral Revelation and the celebrated Molecules of Motion, Bloom Ascension moves with vibrant energy and radiant optimism, its interlocking melodic and rhythmic symmetry creating what Roach himself describes as living, breathing musical mandalas. The music is simultaneously hyper-alert and expansive, kinetic yet suspended and calm at its center, the product of a spontaneous, direct process of pure emotional transmission captured in real time.
