Soft Vein - All We've Known of Heaven [CD]

All We've Known of Heaven is the third album from Soft Vein, the Los Angeles electronic project of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Justin Chamberlain. Released in September 2026 on Artoffact Records, it blends synthpop and sophisti-pop into eight lush, melancholy songs about nostalgia, romance, homesickness and change.

Sparkling guitars and glossy synthesizers frame Chamberlain's cool, half-spoken vocals, and saxophonist Rachel Mazer guests on two tracks. The title track, built around the refrain "is this all we are," is the standout, a restless 1980s-inspired anthem about modern disconnection, while "Another Summer," "Chekhov" and "Living in Liminal Spaces" drift between dancefloor pulse and late-night reflection. The album was co-produced with Andrea Mantione of Nuovo Testamento and mastered by Jason Corbett of ACTORS.

For fans of ACTORS, Nuovo Testamento and classic Tears for Fears, this is one of the year's most polished darkwave-adjacent pop records.
