Shania Twain - Little Miss Twain [Red]

Shania Twain's first album in nearly three years arrived in July 2026, and Little Miss Twain finds her doing something she has largely avoided across a three-decade career: looking backward. The title track, a duet with Tanya Tucker, sets the frame — an older artist talking to the girl she used to be — and the rest of the record follows that thread through northern Ontario, hard years, and everything that came after.

The guest list is the most interesting she has ever assembled. Josh Homme turns up on "Faded Blue Jeans," pulling the arrangement somewhere dustier and stranger than country radio usually allows. The War and Treaty close the record on "Take It to the River." In between, "Dirty Rosie," "Northern Town" and "Rockstars" work the autobiographical vein hard, while "That's the Money" and "Problematic" show she has lost none of her appetite for a sharp-elbowed lyric.

It is a warmer, more weathered record than the Mutt Lange-era blockbusters, and that is clearly the point. Nobody has to prove anything here — which is exactly what makes it worth hearing.
