Screeching Weasel - My Brain Hurts

Simply put, one of the most important punk albums ever recorded. Released in September 1991 on Lookout! Records, My Brain Hurts marked a defining moment not just for Screeching Weasel but for an entire generation of punk music. Recording at Art of Ears Studio in San Francisco with Lawrence Livermore producing, Ben Weasel, Jughead, Dan Vapid, Dave Naked, and the newly recruited Dan Panic delivered an album that created a blueprint countless bands have followed ever since. The influence runs deep and wide, from Green Day and Blink-182 to Fall Out Boy, Rise Against, and Alkaline Trio.

The album represented a complete stylistic reinvention, fully embracing a Ramones-inspired pop-punk sound and abandoning the band's earlier hardcore tendencies entirely.
