Originally released in 2005, Deadwing is the eighth studio album by Porcupine Tree and the second in a trilogy of records widely considered the pinnacle of the band's career. Based on a screenplay written by Steven Wilson and Mike Bennion, the album is a cinematic "ghost story" that seamlessly blends heavy progressive metal riffs with delicate, pop-informed melodies. It became the band’s best-selling record at the time, solidifying their global success following the breakthrough of In Absentia.
This May 2026 Reissue is presented as a Double Clear Vinyl edition in a gatefold sleeve. The album is notable for its high-profile guest appearances, including legendary guitarist Adrian Belew (King Crimson), who contributes solos to the title track and "Halo," and Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth), who provides vocal harmonies and a guitar solo on the epic "Arriving Somewhere But Not Here." This pressing also includes essential B-sides "So Called Friend" and "Half-Light," making it the most complete vinyl version of this fan favorite.
