A year after Génesis made him a global star, Peso Pluma refused to sit still. Éxodo, his fourth album and first proper double album, is the sound of an artist trying to be two things at once and mostly pulling it off. Released in 2024 through his own Double P Records, it splits cleanly down the middle: one disc devoted to the corridos tumbados that built his name, the other to a run of reggaeton, trap, and hip-hop crossovers aimed squarely at the rest of the world.

The corrido-driven half keeps him on home turf, trading verses with regional-Mexican heavyweights like Junior H, Natanael Cano, and Luis R Conriquez over requinto and tuba. The second half is where the ambition shows, pulling in an unlikely guest list that runs from Cardi B and Quavo to Anitta and DJ Snake, whose production powers the slinky "Teka." Across twenty-four tracks, from the hard-charging "La Durango" onward, it is a sprawling, deliberately overstuffed statement of an artist testing how far his sound can stretch.

More than anything, Éxodo documents a pivotal moment: a regional-Mexican phenomenon reaching for genuine global crossover without abandoning the tradition that got him there. It is restless and maximalist by design, the sound of Peso Pluma pushing in every direction at once and daring the audience to keep up.

This edition is a double-LP pressing on striking tan smoke vinyl via Double P Records. A bold, career-defining record given a fittingly eye-catching pressing, and an easy pickup for anyone following música mexicana's push onto the world stage.
