Orgone - Connection

Connection was the first release on 3 Palm Records, the label Orgone launched with distribution from Colemine, and it plays like a celebration of everything the Los Angeles band does well. Described as a spiritual follow-up to fan favorite Bacano, it is gritty, lean and tight, built around heavy riffs, vintage production and a rotating cast of singers.

The guest list is deep: New Orleans legend Cyril Neville, Kelly Finnigan of The Monophonics, Pimps Of Joytime, Jesse Wagner of The Aggrolites, Masauko and Black Shakespeare all step up to the mic. Songs like "Junk Man," "Love Will See Us Through" and "Party People" swing between hard funk, deep soul and disco-tinged grooves, while the band's rhythm section holds everything together with the pocket they have spent two decades perfecting.

The album is about the invisible threads that connect people, and it is hard to hear it without wanting to share it with someone.
