Recorded in 1988 but not released until 1993, this feral and mysterious full-length album became an instant underground classic. Originally issued by Sam McPheeters’ Vermiform label, the record suffered from lost materials and miscommunications that hindered its creator’s vision. Yet even in compromised form, it was hailed as a defining release that helped shape the sound of post-hardcore and emo throughout the '90s and beyond.
This anniversary edition corrects the past. The artwork has been fully restored, including never-before-seen photos, and the audio has been remastered by Alan Douches and recut by Bob Weston for an audiophile-grade pressing at RTI. At last, it looks, feels, and sounds the way it was meant to.
