Moondaddy is the analog-obsessed dream pop project led by singer songwriter producer Cara Potiker with bandmates Gabriel Poissant, Patrick Heaney, and Rob Wren. Recorded live to tape at Sonic Ranch and released through Dusty Mars Records, Wax Mage Records, and Silver Girl Records, their sophomore LP Dove Tapes explores themes of trauma, longing, heartbreak, and emotional resilience.
Their debut album Poet Lies (2023) earned praise for its lush, reverb soaked soundscapes and sold-out vinyl runs through Wax Mage. With Dove Tapes, the band widens its palette with decadent synth layers, winding guitar work, and wistful vocals centered around Cara’s cinematic songwriting. The result is a record that holds a small world of love inside it despite everything happening beyond its borders.
