After a gap of more than a decade and a half, Molly Hatchet are back with a new studio album, and Lost Horizon marks the realization of a lifelong dream for the band: all twelve tracks were recorded at London's legendary Abbey Road Studios.
The songs breathe the Southern rock spirit the band is known for, from "Whiskey Desperado" and "Jacksonvillain" to "Dixie Highway" and "Moonshine All Mine," plus a fiery take on the Beatles' "Helter Skelter." The album is built around a hopeful theme: only by finding inner peace can you share it with others and help build a better world. The title track and "Stand Up for Freedom" carry that message loudest.
Guitarist Bobby Ingram leads the charge alongside longtime bandmates John Galvin on keys and Tim Lindsey on bass, joined by new recruits Garrett Ramsden on drums and Parker Lee on vocals. Together they have made what the band calls its most emotional and profound album to date.
This edition presents the album on two 140-gram LPs in a gatefold jacket.
