Masayoshi Takanaka - Takanaka (LP / Translucent Vinyl / Japan Import)
Building on the tropical sound of his debut, Seychelles, Takanaka expanded Masayoshi Takanaka's musical vision by blending Latin, jazz fusion, funk and pop. Widely regarded as a landmark, the album helped establish the signature sound that would define his career.
Its centerpiece is "Ready To Fly," first performed during his time with Sadistics and re-recorded here as a solo piece. The uplifting melody, infectious groove and exhilarating guitar work have made it one of his most iconic compositions and a perennial live highlight.
This RSD Black Friday 2026 import edition is pressed on translucent vinyl and includes an exclusive special poster. A perfect way into one of the essential classics of Japanese jazz fusion.
