Lords Of Acid have always made records for the club first, so a collection built entirely around remixes makes perfect sense. Beyond Booze, released by Metropolis Records in 2022, gathers fifteen reworked versions of songs from across the Belgian group's catalog, from their 1988 breakthrough "I Sit On Acid" onward, arriving four years after 2018's Pretty in Kink.

The mix titles are as shameless as the songs. "I Sit On Acid (Insider Is Inside Mix)" opens the set, "The Crablouse" gets Ludo's "It's Here To Stay" treatment, "Rough Sex" arrives as the "Beltram Whip Mix," and "I Must Increase My Bust (The Lords Like 'Em Large Mix)" stretches out to nearly seven minutes. Across the record, techno, acid, house, and industrial styles collide in a beat-driven run that plays like a continuous late-night set.
