LP edition compiling Kreidler’s long unavailable first releases: the 1994 cassette RIVA and the 1995 self-titled mini-album originally issued on Finlayson. Sourced from the group’s Düsseldorf and Berlin archives, these early works trace the beginnings of a band that would develop one of the most distinctive voices in German electronic and art-rock circles. The classic lineup of Thomas Klein, Andreas Reihse, Stefan Schneider and Detlef Weinrich shapes calm, hypnotic grooves that drift between minimalism, ambient space, and subtle rhythmic pulse. Early pieces move from the restrained beauty of RIVA to the expanded textures of Das Wilde Heinefeld featuring Fritz Sitterle on voice and bass clarinet. Even in these first steps, the group’s fluid approach and atmospheric depth are fully present. An essential document of Kreidler’s origins and the foundations of their ongoing sound world.
