Description Tracklist

A companion album to the critically acclaimed Midnight Rocker, Midnight Scorchers is Adrian Sherwood’s ‘sound system’ reinterpretation of the original sessions.

The album features brand new tracks, radical dancehall reworks with lively MC interjections from Daddy Freddy and Lone Ranger, and stripped-down instrumental dubs in the classic reggae tradition.

Continuing the approach Sherwood pioneered with Heavy Rain—his dub reimagining of Lee “Scratch” Perry’s Rainford—Midnight Scorchers stands as both a vital sequel to Midnight Rocker and a powerful statement in its own right.
