Frost Children are a sibling duo from St. Louis by way of New York who make music that sounds like several genres arguing at once and somehow winning. Sister is a colossal and frequently shocking evolution from the double LPs of 2023's SPEED RUN, and it is the record where their instincts finally point in one direction.
The mix is classic EDM, nostalgic French electro, and songwriting shaped unmistakably by emo, which should not work and absolutely does. Angel and Lulu Prost build tracks that detonate rather than resolve, dropping a euphoric hook into something abrasive and then leaving before you have adjusted. It has the maximalist instinct of hyperpop without the archness, and underneath the noise there are real songs.
They arrived with a Dazed cover, a Guardian One to Watch nod, and an official FIFA placement, which is a strange set of credentials for a band this unruly. This is the album that makes sense of all of it.
This indie exclusive pressing is on blue vinyl with a poster, out October 2, 2026 through True Panther and Virgin. Limited to independent retail.
