Dillinger Four - Civil War

Released in 2008, Civil War is the fourth album from Minneapolis punk mainstays Dillinger Four, arriving six long years after Situationist Comedy and well worth the wait for the faithful. It delivers exactly what D4 devotees crave: gruff, hook-drenched, politically pointed punk built for shouting along in a sweaty room.

Erik Funk and Billy Morrisette split the raspy vocal duties across sardonically titled ragers like "Parishiltonisametaphor," "Minimum Wage Is a Gateway Drug," and "Americaspremierefaithbasedinitiative." Anthemic, funny, and furious in equal measure, the album proves the band lost none of their bite during the layoff.
