Cursive - Happy Hollow (20 Year Anniversary Edition) (3LP Color Vinyl)
Happy Hollow is one of Cursive's most ambitious records, a concept album built around a live brass section that marked a bold artistic turn for an already restless band. Coming after Domestica and The Ugly Organ, it took Tim Kasher's songwriting outward, tackling the shattering of the American dream, small-town malaise and religious hypocrisy.
Twenty years later, those themes land as hard as ever. The horns give the songs a theatrical, almost cinematic sweep, while the band's knotty, emotionally charged indie rock keeps everything grounded and urgent.
For the anniversary, Cursive and Run For Cover have built the definitive version of the album. This limited collector's edition spreads across three discs of color vinyl, adding 20 tracks of demos, outtakes and B-sides from the original era. It comes in a die-cut cover and tri-fold jacket with retrospective photos and liner notes from the band.
