Creation Rebel - Rebel Vibrations

A rare early album from Creation Rebel, Rebel Vibrations returns to vinyl for the first time since its original 1979 release.

Originally issued by pre-On-U Sound label Hitrun, these tracks come from one of the very first recording sessions organized by producer Adrian Sherwood. The session featured legendary Jamaican drummer Lincoln “Style” Scott (of Roots Radics) during his first visit to the UK, paired with local players including Crucial Tony, Lizard Logan, Doctor Pablo, and Clifton Morrison.

The result is a collection of hard-hitting, uncompromising dub cuts—what Sherwood describes as “a structure of suppressed rhythms and unique possibilities in sonic space.”

This edition has been re-cut by Frank Merritt at The Carvery for optimal dynamics. Includes a printed inner sleeve with liner notes and an archival photo, plus a download card for the full album.
