Clinic - Wild In The Streets [Blue]

Nearly thirty years after forming in Liverpool, Clinic are still running in the opposite direction from everyone else. Wild In The Streets, the band's tenth album, takes the temperature of modern Britain with the urgency, surreal wordplay, and deadpan wit that have always set them apart.

Ade Blackburn and Jonathan Hartley have known each other since school, and their chemistry is as potent as ever. Twelve songs, most under three minutes, pull from exotica, dub reggae, Cabaret Voltaire, and early rock and roll, with lead single "You and I" taking a wonky, sardonic swipe at showbusiness.

It takes its place alongside Internal Wrangler, Visitations, and Free Reign as another proudly outsider record from a band that has never chased a trend.
