BLACKPINK - Born Pink [Black Ice]

Born Pink is the album that made chart history twice over. Released in September 2022 on YG Entertainment and Interscope, BLACKPINK's second full-length debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, the first album by a female group to top that chart since 2008, and it made them the first K-pop girl group ever to reach number one on the UK Albums Chart.

The record wastes no time. "Pink Venom" stalks in on traditional Korean instrumentation before the beat drops, and "Shut Down" flips a classical violin sample into a hip-hop victory lap. Both singles topped the Billboard Global 200. From there the album moves between pop, hip-hop, rock and EDM: "Typa Girl" and "Yeah Yeah Yeah" keep the confidence high, while the second half turns more vulnerable with "Hard to Love," the piano ballad "The Happiest Girl" and the defiant "Tally."

At eight songs and under 25 minutes, it is a tight, replayable set, and it launched one of the biggest world tours ever staged by a girl group.

This import pressing comes on translucent "Black Ice" vinyl, a single LP with four tracks per side.
