Barenaked Ladies - Born on a Pirate Ship (30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) (2LP / Cobalt Blue Vinyl)

Born on a Pirate Ship went gold in both the U.S. and Canada when it arrived in 1996, and it gave Barenaked Ladies their first U.S. hit with "The Old Apartment." It's the sound of a band growing from clever cult favorite into something bigger, with the songwriting to back it up.

Beyond the hit, the record is full of gems: "I Know," "Straw Hat and Old Dirty Hank," and "Shoe Box," which fans of Friends will recognize from that show's soundtrack. The mix of wit, harmony and real heart is exactly what made the band so beloved.

For its first-ever LP release, the album has been remastered for vinyl and expanded with two bonus tracks: "Trust Me" from the Shoe Box EP and "Back," a B-side from the American "Brian Wilson" CD single. The music fills three sides, with the fourth featuring a skull and crossbones etching, and the cover has been reworked for this release. Pressed on cobalt blue double vinyl, limited to 3,000 copies.
