Yungblud's third album leans harder into pop songcraft without losing its emotional rawness. Released in September 2022 through Geffen Records and produced largely with longtime collaborator Chris Greatti, the self-titled record marks Dominic Harrison choosing to put his own name on the cover, a deliberate reclamation of his artistic identity after 2018's 21st Century Liability and 2020's weird!.
"The Funeral" and "Tissues" both pair huge, anthemic choruses with genuinely confessional lyrics, giving the album its emotional center without sacrificing the hook-driven immediacy that's made Yungblud a festival mainstay. "Memories," featuring Willow, offers one of the record's quieter high points, pulling back from the bombast to let real vulnerability come through. Across the album, Harrison moves fluidly between raw balladry and full-throttle rock energy, refusing to settle into any single lane for too long.
The album debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart, Yungblud's second UK chart-topper, cementing his continued rise as one of the more commercially successful rock-leaning artists of his generation even as critics remained split on the results. As a self-titled statement, it plays less like a victory lap and more like an artist consolidating his identity before pushing further into the more ambitious work that would follow on Idols.
This indie-exclusive pressing comes on solid pink vinyl, a striking physical package for one of Harrison's most personal records to date.
