Yungblud - Idols II

Yungblud always intended Idols as two halves of one story, and Idols II completes it. Released in 2026, it extends his Grammy-nominated fourth studio album with six new tracks, "I Need You (To Make the World Seem Fine)," "The Postman," "Time," "War Part II," "Blueberry Hill," and "Suburban Requiem," alongside a reimagined version of "Zombie" featuring The Smashing Pumpkins, marking the first time in Billy Corgan's band's career that they've appeared on another artist's recording.

That collaboration is the centerpiece of the release for good reason. Yungblud has said he was channeling Siamese Dream directly while writing "Zombie," chasing the same mix of raw emotion, cinematic scale, and heavy guitar work that defined the Pumpkins' own catalog, and the connection between the two acts traces back to a chance meeting with Corgan at Black Sabbath's farewell concert. Produced by Matt Schwartz and Corgan himself, the new version brings that influence full circle.

Idols has already racked up over 450 million streams and topped the UK Albums Chart, earning nominations for Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song at the 2026 Grammys, and it's been widely praised as Yungblud's boldest, most genre-blurring project yet, an emotionally expansive record that refuses to sit still stylistically. Idols II rounds that story out into a full nineteen-track statement rather than a simple victory lap.
