In 2011, Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites were just "two Jersey boys" who had relocated to Denver to escape the New York grind. Their self-titled debut, released in 2012, became an accidental juggernaut. Eschewing the high-gloss production of the era for stomps, claps, and raw acoustic energy, the album climbed to #2 on the Billboard 200 and earned two Grammy nominations. It was a record that proved there was still a massive appetite for "rustic, heart-on-the-sleeve" songwriting.
This vinyl edition, released via Dualtone Records, brings the warm, room-filling sound of the Bear Creek Studios sessions to life. Whether it’s the unavoidable shout-along of "Ho Hey" or the cello-driven melancholy of "Slow It Down," the pressing captures the "perfectly imperfect" intimacy that turned the trio into festival headliners.
