The Devil Wears Prada 2 - Original Soundtrack [Noir Black]

A fashion sequel needs a soundtrack that can carry a runway scene, and Interscope stacked this one accordingly. Lady Gaga contributes three original songs, including "Shape of a Woman" and the Doechii team-up "Runway," which arrived as the lead single and set the tone: glossy, arch, and built for a strut.

Around them the record pulls in a remarkable cast. Sienna Spiro's "Material Lover" fits the theme perfectly, Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus with Brittany Howard, Laufey, Olivia Dean, SZA, Raye, Ledisi, and The Marias fill out thirteen tracks that work as a pop compilation whether or not you see the film.

It is the rare soundtrack where the new material outshines the licensing, and Gaga's songs in particular play like an alternate-universe album.
