Marking their first new music in over five years, The World's Fair EP finds Swervedriver returning to the format that defined their early 90s ascent. This four-track collection is a potent reminder of the band's ability to fuse shimmering, psychedelic "dreampop" with a gritty, full-frontal rock assault. The EP ranks alongside their most vital early work, capturing a band that has refined its songwriting without losing the "volume-heavy" edge that first set them apart from their shoegaze contemporaries.

The recording sessions for The World's Fair represent a unique cross-continental collaboration. Two tracks—the psych-heavy "Volume Control" and the atmospheric title track "The World's Fair"—were recorded in Oxford with longtime peer Mark Gardener (Ride). The remaining two tracks, including the Beatles-esque melodic churn of "Pack Yr Vision" and the hopeful, upward-spiraling closer "Time Attacks," were tracked in Atlanta at the studio of producer and YouTube personality Rick Beato. Mixed by John Catlin and featuring contributions from musicians like Mick Quinn (Supergrass) on bass, the result is a "fat, clear, and quintessentially Swervedriver" sonic experience.

This first pressing from Outer Battery Records is presented on striking Orange Vinyl. It is a must-have for devotees of the Oxford four, capturing the band's "magisterial" side as it soars higher than ever.
