Suicidal Tendencies - Join The Army

By 1987, Suicidal Tendencies had already shaken up hardcore with their debut, and Join the Army was the record that pushed them right across the line into thrash. It became one of the band's most popular albums, the moment when skate punk and metal fully collided and the crossover sound had one of its defining statements.

Mike Muir's sneering, street-level delivery is front and center, and the band behind him tightens the punk rush with heavier, more intricate guitar work. "Possessed to Skate" became the album's signature single and an anthem for a whole generation of skaters, while "War Inside My Head," "Join the Army" and "Suicidal Maniac" hit just as hard.

Join the Army reached the Billboard 200, a rare feat for a band this abrasive in 1987, and its influence runs through decades of crossover, thrash and hardcore that followed.

This reissue presents the original twelve-track album on standard black vinyl.
