On their fifth album, Memorial, Russian Circles sharpen the contrasts in their sound, moving seamlessly from somber, soaring melodies to crushing metal intensity. Each track stands as its own emotional landscape, giving the album a sense of progression that mirrors the stages of grief—at times punishing and explosive, at others restrained and achingly delicate.
