Released in 2022, Twelve Carat Toothache is Post Malone's fourth studio album and his most introspective. Stepping back from the maximal hit-chasing of his earlier records, it trades stadium-sized choruses for a rawer look at fame, self-doubt, and burnout.

The album still delivers singles — the Doja Cat duet "I Like You (A Happier Song)" and the yearning "Love/Hate Letter to Alcohol" with Fleet Foxes' Robin Pecknold among them — but the mood is more searching than celebratory. Guests including The Weeknd, Roddy Ricch, and The Kid LAROI round out a set that reviewers praised as his most cohesive and honest work.
