Two pieces, one per side, twenty minutes each. Love In Us All is among the last albums Pharoah Sanders made for Impulse, the label where he spent the years after Coltrane's death building the loudest and most ecstatic music in jazz.

"Love Is Everywhere" takes side one, twenty minutes that start in something like calm and do not stay there. "To John" takes side two, and the dedication is as direct as the title makes it sound. Both are Sanders compositions. Lee Young produced.

The record was issued in a gatefold and cut in QS-encoded quadraphonic, which is why the label reads Stereo/Quad rather than plain stereo. It plays back fine on any normal system. Sanders moved on from Impulse after this, and the label's own run as the house of the new thing was winding down, so the album lands as a summation whether or not it was meant as one.
