Nine Inch Nails - Nine Inch Noize

The partnership started in service of someone else's movie. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross pulled Alexander Ridha, better known as Boys Noize, into the sessions for the Tron: Ares score in 2025, kept him on for the Divergence remix album, and then put him on the road as support for the Peel It Back Tour. Nine Inch Noize is what came out the other side: twelve Nine Inch Nails tracks stripped to the frame and rebuilt as industrial techno.

Calling it a remix album undersells what happens here. "Heresy," "Closer," "Vessel," "She's Gone Away," and "Came Back Haunted" all return under the "Nine Inch Noize Version" banner, rewired for a dark room and a big system rather than a stadium, with Ridha pushing the low end into genuine rave territory while Reznor and Ross keep the menace intact. Two covers round out the set, Soft Cell's "Memorabilia" and How to Destroy Angels' "Parasite." The running order follows the set the three of them played at Coachella a week before release, so the album moves like a live show instead of a compilation. Forty six minutes, no filler.

Issued in April 2026 on The Null Corporation and Interscope as Halo 38, it landed to near-unanimous critical praise and reached number six on the US dance albums chart, an unusual second act for a catalog this heavily mined.

This 2LP edition presents all twelve tracks across four sides of 180-gram black vinyl, housed in a red single-pocket jacket with hand-applied stickers. Each copy also includes three photo prints pulled at random from a set of twelve, so no two are quite the same.
