Moana (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

The Moana soundtrack collects the songs from Disney's 2016 seafaring adventure, a modern high point for the studio's musical output. Featuring the voice of Auli'i Cravalho as Moana and Dwayne Johnson as the demigod Maui, it pairs Pacific Islander musical traditions with Broadway-caliber songwriting.

Written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mark Mancina, and Opetaia Foa'i, the songs range from the wayfinding anthem "How Far I'll Go," nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song, to Maui's showstopper "You're Welcome" and the glam-rock villain turn "Shiny." Alessia Cara's pop version of "How Far I'll Go" closes things out.
