Lords Of Acid - Heaven Is An Orgasm [CD]

Heaven Is An Orgasm started life as a secret handshake for the hardcore fans. First released in 1998, the collection of B-sides, outtakes, and unreleased material recorded between 1988 and 1997 was originally sold only through the Lords Of Acid website in a run of 500 copies. Those disappeared fast, and demand pushed the band to give it a wider release later that year with new cover art.

It plays less like a rarities dump and more like a lost Lords Of Acid album. "Superstar" and "Praise The Lords" kick things off, titles like "Orchestral Sinsations," "Acid Queen," and "Undress And Possess" make clear this material came from the same imagination that produced Lust and Voodoo-U, and "She And Mr. Jones" turns up in another version alongside the Voodoo-U original.

For anyone who already owns Lust and Voodoo-U, this is the logical next stop, filling in the corners of the band's most productive decade.

This expanded Special Remastered Band Edition was released by Metropolis Records in 2017 as part of the label's remastering of the Lords Of Acid catalog, running fifteen tracks in a standard jewel case.
