Light Conductor - Sequence Two

Two years after their debut, Stephen Ramsay and Jace Lasek returned to their wall of restored synthesizers for Sequence Two, the 2021 middle chapter of Light Conductor's trilogy on Constellation. Where the first record introduced the idea, this one stretches out and settles in, with four long pieces that give each drone and pulse room to fully bloom.

"Splitting Light" opens with shimmering, slowly modulating tones before "The Rooms Are Turning Inside Out" tilts into something more disorienting. Side two holds the record's heaviest moments: "Pyramids In Slow Rotation" builds a hypnotic, almost ritual momentum, and "Life Under A Double Sun" closes things out in a warm, saturated haze. Everything is run through tube compression and vintage signal paths, giving the music a physical weight that most ambient records never reach for.

It is the most immersive of the three sequences, and the one to put on when you want a record to fill a whole room.
