III: Paz en Las Rupturas is a breathtaking document of spontaneous creation, born from a clandestine meeting in December 2022 at Estudios Piayet. What began as a raw improvisation session between the acclaimed Guatemalan cellist/vocalist Mabe Fratti and the experimental duo La Kriego (Fernando Feria and Emiliano Cruz) was later transformed into a haunting, multilayered opus. Sound artist Concepción Huerta was invited to "intervene," adding tectonic layers of electronics and tape manipulation that push the recordings into the realm of the surreal.

The album takes its title—and its spiritual weight—from the 1959 book Paix dans les brisements by the Belgian writer Henri Michaux. Much like Michaux’s prose, the music explores the beauty found within fragmentation. Across five tracks, Fratti’s voice moves from luminous recitations to abstract syllable-play, anchored by her signature "cello-core" and the jagged, non-traditional guitar work of La Kriego. Huerta’s atmospheres act as a swirling fog, creating a "peace" that is both unsettling and deeply beautiful. From the liquid textures of "Oí ayer el agua cayendo" to the ceremonial, drone-heavy "Untitled" movements, this record is an essential listen for fans of free improvisation, dark ambient, and neo-classical noise.
