KMFDM - Hau Ruck 2025

Originally released in 2005, Hau Ruck is finally making its way onto vinyl for the first time ever, and it's not just a straight reissue. KMFDM mainman Sascha Konietzko, aka Kapt'n K, had never been fully satisfied with how the original album sounded, so for its twentieth anniversary he went back to the original masters and rebuilt the record from the ground up, remixing and remastering the whole thing rather than simply repressing it.

The album carries KMFDM's signature ultra heavy beat through tracks like "Free Your Hate," "New American Century," and fan favorites "Real Thing" and "Feed Our Fame," blending industrial aggression with the band's sharp, sample driven sense of groove. Cuts like "You're No Good" and "Professional Killer" show off the record's range, moving between confrontational and almost danceable without losing any of its bite. Two decades on, it remains a sturdy entry in the band's catalog, and Kapt'n K's reworked mix gives the material a punch the original pressing never had the chance to deliver.

This edition arrives as a limited double vinyl pressing, cut at 45 RPM for the best possible sound quality, a fitting way to finally hear Hau Ruck on wax exactly as its architect always wanted it to sound.
