Kenny Chesney's 21st studio album is also the first release on his own independent label, HEY NOW Records, and he has made it count. He spent years sifting through hundreds of songs to land on these eleven, aiming for a record that captures the feeling of the best moments in life while you are still living them.

Reunited with longtime co-producer Buddy Cannon, Chesney ranges wider than usual here, moving between vintage country, rock, calypso, '90s-style country and quiet, introspective ballads. The title track turns a chance encounter into something that lingers for years, and the guest list brings in Colbie Caillat, Lily Meola and Megan Moroney. Lead single "Carry On" made history before the album was even out, becoming only the third song ever to close out the entire country radio reporting panel in its first week, and the first to do it on an independent label.

More than two decades after he first turned the beach into a state of mind, Silver Sands Marina finds Chesney writing about memory, resilience and letting go with a new sense of ownership over his own music.
