Originally released in 1994, Calculated is the first and only studio album from the Olympia-based duo Heavens To Betsy. Featuring Corin Tucker on guitar and vocals and Tracy Sawyer on drums and bass, the band was a foundational pillar of the early 90s Riot Grrrl movement. Before Tucker co-founded the legendary Sleater-Kinney, she was already perfecting her "otherworldly wail" and muscular guitar style on this record, which stands as one of the most honest and fierce documents of the Pacific Northwest underground.
