Garth Brooks built his reputation on stage more than in the studio, and Triple Live is the closest thing to a career summary the format allows. Released in 2020 on Pearl Records, it collects twenty six performances drawn from across his touring history, including material recorded at Yankee Stadium.
The set opens with an extended concert version of "The Thunder Rolls" that runs considerably longer than the studio cut, and that sets the tone: these are the arrangements as they evolved on the road, not the album versions with crowd noise added. "Friends in Low Places" gets the extended treatment too, complete with the third verse that only ever existed live. "Callin' Baton Rouge" is the one that turns any arena into a single voice, "The Dance" closes the record where it always closes the show, and Trisha Yearwood joins him for "Whiskey to Wine."
Deep cuts sit next to the inescapable hits, and the sequencing treats a Garth Brooks concert the way it actually plays out over three hours.
