Frost Children - Speed Run / Hearth Room

Released in early 2024, Hearth Room is the quieter, more intimate companion to Frost Children's hyperactive 2023 breakout Speed Run. Where that record was a maximal blast of hyperpop noise, sibling duo Angel and Lulu Prost pull way back here — acoustic guitars, open space, and startlingly tender songwriting.

Recorded in a burst of unplugged creativity, the album trades distortion for melody across cuts like "Lethal," "Marigold," "Bob Dylan," and the closing "Offer My Love." Critics who found Speed Run overwhelming came around on Hearth Room's warmer, more conventional song structures, and the two records together capture a group refusing to pick a single lane.
