Doro - Wild At Heart

Decades into her reign as the Metal Queen, Doro is still writing songs built for the stage. Wild at Heart is a nine-course menu for rock and metal fans, moving from irresistible anthems to hard-hitting metal and bittersweet ballads, and many of the new tracks were written just weeks before release so she would have fresh songs for her winter tour.

Opener "Rock You 2 Death" is a sing-along in the spirit of "We Are the Metal Heads" and "Raise Your Fist in the Air," and "Fight Like a Lion" and "You R Not Alone" carry the same defiant energy. Doro also puts her stamp on "Holding Out for a Hero," and "Remember the Good Times" closes things on a heartfelt note.

As an encore, the album includes a massive live version of her classic "Touch of Evil" featuring Alissa White-Gluz, a guaranteed crowd-pleaser for longtime fans.

Pressed on vinyl, it is a strong new chapter from one of metal's most enduring voices.
