doPE - No Country For Old Men

This is easily one of the most interesting projects of 2026. doPE brings together Public Enemy’s Chuck D and The Doors’ legendary drummer John Densmore for an album that was recorded specifically for Record Store Day. The two first met at an RSD panel back in 2014, and after a decade of talking about it, they finally locked in to create something that blends spoken word, heavy rhythm, and raw social commentary.

The Record Store Day 2026 Exclusive is pressed on Oxblood Transparent "High-Melt" Vinyl and comes in a deluxe gatefold jacket featuring original illustrations by Chuck D himself. It also features the 2026 RSD Song of the Year, "every tick tick tick," which perfectly captures the "hip-hop urgency and rock pulse" these two are known for. Limited to 2,500 copies via Org Music, this is a true indie-exclusive that bridges decades of musical rebellion.
