Dayseeker - Sleeptalk [Comet]

Sleeptalk is the record where Dayseeker stepped out of the post-hardcore pigeonhole. Their fourth album, released on Spinefarm Records in September 2019, traded some of the genre's familiar formulas for something moodier, more melodic and far more emotionally exposed, without losing the weight that built their following.

Working with producer Daniel Braunstein, the band built ten songs around soaring, wounded vocals and a lush, nocturnal sound that leans on atmosphere as much as riffs. Singles “Crooked Soul,” “Sleeptalk” and “Burial Plot” set the tone, while the brief interlude “The Embers Glow” gives the record room to breathe before the back half hits. At just over 36 minutes, there is no filler anywhere.

Sleeptalk became a fan favorite, earning a deluxe edition of reimagined versions and a 2022 headline tour on which the band played it in full. It is the bridge between the band they were and the band that made Dark Sun, and the best entry point to their catalog.

This limited edition presents Sleeptalk on Comet colored vinyl. Out November 20, 2026 on Spinefarm.
